The SP-IM-004 is a 1600 kN (180 US ton) toggle-clamp servo-hydraulic injection moulding machine, part of the best-selling MA platform, now in its fifth generation. Its 570 injection unit offers three screw options (40/45/50 mm) with shot weights from 229 g to 359 g PS, injection rates up to 205 g/s and injection pressures up to 239 MPa. Fifth-generation features include electric charging claimed to cut energy use by 20-40 percent and a KEBA controller with a 15.6-inch touchscreen.
