BYD Auto is the vehicle arm of BYD Company Ltd., China's largest new-energy vehicle manufacturer, headquartered in Shenzhen. It builds the Ocean Series of battery-electric cars on its in-house e-Platform 3.0, an 800-volt architecture with structural Blade LFP battery packs. The BYD Seal mid-size electric sedan is assembled in Changzhou, Jiangsu and Xi'an, Shaanxi, and is exported to Europe, Australia, Latin America, Southeast Asia and South Africa. BYD designs and produces its own batteries, power semiconductors and electric motors in-house.
